A História está cheia de exemplos de exércitos muito mais fracos a derrotarem adversários muito superiores.
Assim de repente, só a pensar em Portugal, na Batalha de Aljubarrota o exército castelhano era o triplo do português. E perdeu. Ou, quatro séculos depois, as Invasões Francesas - Napoleão nunca conseguiu derrotar-nos.
Já nem vou falar do Afeganistão, do Vietname e por aí fora.

As batalha de Aljubarrota e as Invasões Francesas não são propriamente um bom exemplo, porque os ingleses também interviram nessas guerras(ainda mais com a família real a fugir para o Brasil). A Ucrânia está lutar sozinha nesta guerra.

Interviram e bem, era uma questão europeia nessa altura. Foi a primeira tentativa de conquista por parte de uma potência europeia, e subjugação de todos os outros, partindo de um verdadeiro génio e estratega como era Napoleão.
Só de lembrar o numero de alianças, era a 1ª Aliança, a 2ª, a 6ª....mas lá se conseguiu derrotar.
No entanto historicamente se a Rússia foi um desastre para a Grand Armée, a Guerra Peninsular foi o Vietname original.
Portugal e Espanha foram um sorvedouro de forças, homens e moral para os franceses, foi a desgraça de vários Marechais que simplesmente nunca mais comandaram e se retiraram da vida militar.

Infelizmente a Ucrânia luta sozinha porque há coisas e ameaças que não existiam nesse tempo.
Se não existisse esse terror psicológico esta coisa já tinha escalado .


Em Aljubarrota ingleses só tínhamos 200 arqueiros.

A decisão passou toda pela escolha do terreno que não permitia um ataque em massa de um exército lento e numeroso, nem permitia uso de cavalaria devido aos fossos cavados quer na frente quer na retaguarda onde os Portugueses tinham o high ground.

A Ucrânia não precisa de defrontar os Russos em campo aberto onde claramente não tem essa capacidade. Irá e bem usar táticas de guerrilha dentro das próprias cidades e olhando por exemplo para Odessa, tiveram mais do que tempo para preparar as defesas e receber + armamento.

Uma coisa é meter NLAW, Javelins e Stingers na frente que é relativamente facil porque é armamento ligeiro e qualquer veiculo descaracterizado foge a vigilancia do inimigo.
Outra coisa é sistemas antiaereos que foram dizimados em Dnipro. Não é algo que se consiga descaracterizar ou iludir.

Por muito engenhosos, inteligentes e bem treinados que os ucranianos sejam(e são), todas essas caracteristicas emergiram perantea desorganização estrategica da Russia no primeiro mes.

Agora tudo aponta que a Russia mudou de estrategia para alvos mais especificos e isso trará maiores dificuldades porque a Ucrania não tem logistica capaz de abastecer a frente com meios pesados no lado leste ou mesmo romper o bloqueio de Mariopol.

Porque a Ucrania não tem e não lhes querem dar aquilo que lhes pode mudar o curso dos acontecimentos - air power

Mariupol vai mesmo cair. Já não há munições, agora vai ser com as baionetas.

Concordo, mas sinceramente, neste momento, entre morte de Ucranianos e morte de soldados russos....que sejam estes últimos!!

Fiquei a estranhar porque li uma notícia ontem que um par helicópteros ucranianos que terão conseguido abastecer Mariupol, tendo um deles sido abatido.

Esse helicoptero terá sido abatido há cerca de 1 semana numa tentativa de retirar feridos de Mariupol....
Entretanto, uma notícia ainda não confirmada, mas muito preocupante....


Se for verdade e sendo essa uma linha "vermelha" da Nato....estou para ver as consequências...
